The gaskets which are used in the fields such as petro-chemical facilities, oil refineries, natural gas power plants, steam lines, steel production facilities, power stations, heat exchangers, fertilizer production facilities are considered as industrial application gaskets. The gaskets for industrial applications should stand high temperature, high pressure and various chemicals.
These gaskets are important because of severe operating conditions and the type of the material to be sealed. In some applications, for example, the gaskets should stand 1000°C and 500 Bar. Therefore these kind of gaskets must be produced with serious engineering calculations.
Also, the gasket material should not be decomposed by the material to be sealed. So, gasket material selection is another important item for industrial applications.
